Appointment Policy
*New clients: All new microblading appointments will require the client to pay a non-refundable booking fee. This fee is set to secure your appointment and to be sure you’re serious about the procedure. The booking fee will be deducted from the total due on the day of your appointment. Remaining balance will be due day of your appointment.
*Returning/touch up clients: A valid credit card will need to be entered to book your appointment. The card will not be charged unless the cancellation policy is broken. Full total will be due the day of appointment.
*Cancellations: If you need to cancel your appointment, you may do so via the link in your email or you may call the studio. We require at least 72 hour notice. Please keep in mind that cancellations at any point will still forfeit your booking fee, as it is non-refundable booking fee. If you fail to show up to your appointment with zero notice, you will be charged 50% of the total service. Microblading appointments block out 2 hours of the artists time, and failure to give notice of a cancellation/reschedule makes it very hard to fill appointments last minute. Booking fee’s are put in place to protect the artist and their time. Please be respectful of this policy.
*Rescheduling- If for any reason you need to reschedule, you may do so via the link in your confirmation email, as long as it’s at least 72 hours in advance of your appointment. You may also call our studio and we can help. If you need to reschedule your appointment and it’s falls WITHIN 72 hours of your appointment, this is a cancellation and you will be charged 25% of the total amount due to the card on file. Any same day changes(cancellation and rescheduling) are considered a no-show and you will be charged 50% of the total amount due to the card on file.
** By booking an appointment, you acknowledge and agree to the appointment policy. It is your responsibility to read and review all information prior to booking**
Microblading Pre-Care:
If you normally get your eyebrows waxed or threaded to maintain the shape, you should do so 3 days prior to your microblading service.
If you normally tint/bleach your brow hairs, you should do so 3-5 days prior to your microblading service.
If you would like your artist to use as much natural brow hair as possible, you may let your brows grow until your microblading appointment. Your artist will groom any stray hairs that you wish to remove after the mapping of your new brows.
Avoid tanning 2 weeks prior to your microblading appointment.
Do not consume any alcohol, caffeine, or nicotine 48 hours prior, as it will disrupt the healing process.
Do not take any over the counter herbs without consulting your microblading artist.
Do not use any acidic lotions or topical products, they are found in most makeup and skin care products. Any topical products that contain mineral oils, retinol, AHA, glycolic acid and salicylic acid should be avoided.
IMMEDIATELY call to reschedule if you have an open wound on or around the treatment area, including breakouts and blemishes.
Microblading After-Care:
Immediately follow your procedure, the tattooed area will appear to be darker and bolder in color and more sharply defined. The brows will appear this way for 2-3 days after each appointment.
Swelling and redness is minimal in most clients and will subside within 24-48. In rare cases, it may last up to 3 days, but will not prevent from working or socializing. The treated area will be more sensitive to sunlight 24-48 hours after procedure but there should only be minimal discomfort.
The first 5 days after your procedure you must keep your brows completely dry. This includes water, sweat and skincare products.
You may shower and bathe but not with very warm water. Avoid using any soaps or cleansers on the treated area for the first week as they can be detrimental to the bonding process that must take place for the pigment to stabilize in the dermis.
ALWAYS wash your hands thoroughly before touching the tattooed area.
Keep the tattooed area clean by rinsing with lukewarm water and patting dry with a disposable paper towel 3 times a day.
Avoid any kind of moisturizer, oil and Vaseline for the first 2 weeks. Only apply a very small amount of the provided ointment in the morning after cleansing the brows with lukewarm water. Apply using a clean disposable cotton swab. You will only use the ointment from day 5 to day 14.
Do not work out, sweat, tan, swim, get a facial, use any exfoliators or get Botox for at least 2 weeks after each appointment.
Do not pick at or scratch at the dry skin/flakiness, the goal is to have the scabbing flake off naturally. Picking can cause scarring and premature loss of pigment.
Once the scab has fallen off, a shiny layer of healing skin will completely cover the hair strokes. It will appear as though the tattoo is gone, DON’T PANIC. The hair strokes will slowly reappear at a lighter shade as your skin regenerates, usually between 1-2 weeks after the scab is completely gone.
Do not apply makeup to the tattooed area for the first 2 weeks. Chemicals of any kind may interfere with the healing and color of your brows.
The complete healing process can take anywhere between 6-8 weeks, at which time the true color of the tattoo is evident. Be patient even if you think too much color has been lost as your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating.
Once the treated area is completely healed, any changes or additions that need to be made will be done at your follow up appointment.
If you cannot fulfill the proper pre-care and after-care treatments, we recommend that you reschedule or postpone your appointment a minimum of 72 hours before your appointment to avoid any cancellation fees. The healing period is a very important step of the process. We want to make sure that your brows are perfect, crisp & flawless. Improper after-care will lead to blurred and messed up brows that cannot be fixed. THIS IS SERIOUS… THIS IS YOUR FACE!
Once Healed:
Exposure to the sun over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment. Once completely healed, you may apply sunscreen to the treated area. It is recommended to wear large sunglasses or hats for further protection. Rinse and dry the area thoroughly when in contact with chlorine.
Glycolic acid, retinol, face peels and exfoliants must be kept away from the tattooed area, as continued use could lighten the pigment. Using these products can make your brows fade away and/or turn a pink/red or grey color.
If you are having laser resurfacing or laser hair removal done after your brows have fully healed, please inform the laser technician. Laser procedures may darken, lighten or discolor the tattooed area.
Hydrate your brows even once healed. This is a tattoo so keeping the skin fresh looking will help the brow color to appear brighter.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How much is Microblading?
Each artist has different pricing. Please go to your artist’s page to see their pricing.
How long does the microblading last?
This varies from person to person, everyone's results last a different amount of time. A color refresh is recommended on average from 9-12 months after your initial procedure.
How do touch ups work?
After your first visit you will need a perfecting/finalizing touch up. This service is offered any where from 6 to 12 weeks after your first visit. This appointment is available to returning clients only.
How long does it take to do?
Each microblading appointment has different timing by artist and by service. Please go to your artist’s page to see timing of each appointment.
Does the microblading application hurt?
We have a wide range of medical grade topical anesthetics which we use to make it as comfortable & pain free as possible. We use a topical anesthetic that is applied before the procedure & one during to continue the comfort. However, we personally like the healed results much better if clients skip the topical anesthetic. We believe the lines look more crisp & heal so much better. We inform each client of our recommendation before, so they can decide for themselves during their appointment.
How long is the recovery or healing time?
Your brows will appear darker the first two days, after that time your brows will start to flake & heal. Everyone heals differently but it takes about 4-6 weeks. You may leave a bit red after your appointment but don’t worry you don’t have to hide from the world right after you get them done.
How do you choose the shape?
We choose your custom shape and style together. At the beginning of your appointment we will discuss what you want your new brows to look like (pictures help as references). Then we will come up with a design/shape specific to you & your bone structure. We will make measurements to make them as symmetrical as possible.
How do you choose a color?
We choose a color together by applying small amounts of different colored pigments to the skin near to your brows and selecting the best match for your skin tone, features and personal preference. We choose a color that matches your natural brow hair. So remember, if you tint/bleach your brows regularly you MUST tint/bleach them 2-3 days prior to your appointment. Also remember while choosing your color it will faded up to 50% after your first visit.
What types of pigments do you use?
We use pigments which are made specifically for permanent cosmetics and microblading. We use a couple of brands that we love which all have iron oxides, distilled water, alcohol, glycerin and general colors that are found in most retail makeup.
Who is ineligible for microblading?
We do not provide microblading for people younger than 18 years of age or people who are pregnant or nursing. If you have diabetes, glaucoma, or skin diseases such as shingles, psoriasis or eczema on or near the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you're taking skin medications like Roaccutane and steroids. If you are on blood thinners, ibuprofen, or any medications that thin your blood this isn’t for you. Please scroll to the top of this page to see all contraindications.
What is the after-care?
After your procedure we will apply a barrier ointment on that you leave on for 48 hours after the procedure. After the 48 hours, depending on your skin type, we recommend applying a small amount of the ointment twice a day. You MUST stay out of the sun, sauna and pool. No working out for at least 10 days. Avoid chlorine, exfoliating creams, and sun exposure; they may cause your color to fade.
Can I get microblading over scars?
Yes, unless you have is a keloid scar this service is great for you. If you have a scar, we recommend sending us a photo to eleven11beautymgmt@gmail.com so we can approve before you book an appointment.
Can you get Microblade if you are pregnant or nursing?
No, but we’d be happy to see you after you are done nursing.
